It started with a 3AM debugging session. My first real job, and I was staring at a production system that had been down for 6 hours. The senior developers were stumped. The client was furious. And I was the junior who had to figure it out.

That night taught me something that would define my entire career: real development isn't about writing perfect code. It's about solving real problems under real pressure.

I spent my first 5 years in the trenches. Fixing legacy code that nobody understood. Debugging systems that were held together with duct tape and prayers. Learning that the best code is the code that actually works.
